Eleni Pipi is a Trainee Lawyer at Phoebus, Christos Clerides & Associates LLC. She holds an LL.B. from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens and an advanced LL.M. in International and European Public Law from KU Leuven. She has also completed specialised training in Statistics and Data Mining through the University of Athens. Prior to joining the firm, Eleni completed a traineeship at the Schengen and Consular Affairs Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, where she contributed to geopolitical projects, assisted in drafting policy documents and attended meetings with diplomats and ambassadors.

The introduction of credit scoring adds an important new dimension to credit assessment in Cyprus. The Credit Score does not, however, determine the outcome of a financing application on its own. For borrowers, the key is to understand both the score and the information behind it. Where that information is inaccurate, incomplete or outdated, knowing how to access and challenge it may be just as important as knowing the score itself.
